I received a gorgeous testimonial today from a client who has experienced what I can only describe as an amazing transformation in her life. Laura and I began our work together a year ago when she made the decision to step out from just "thinking about it" to actually organizing her home. I am so proud of her and the work she has done! It is humbling to read these words. I hope they inspire those of you who are blessed to read them.

"In January of 2009 I began renovations on my condo where I had lived for 3 years. My home was destroyed in Wilma and I live in a 1 bedroom condo in Deerfield FL. After everything was finished - New floors, painting, carpentry work, new light fixtures and a beautiful Entertainment Center - I was scanning Facebook and I noticed a picture posted of a before and after closet Selene had organized. Selene and I knew each other so I called her and asked her to come help me. She agreed and we began our work together.

And so in walks Selene with four blue bins and we began with the boxes on the patio that had been that way since I moved. KEEP, SELL, TRASH & DONATE - the three baskets got filled very quickly and at day’s end Selene would take everything away,

Little did I know the transformation that would occur during and since the completion of the de-cluttering of my home. Because I know where everything is I do not spend endless energy looking for the scissors, looking for my keys and pocketbook, my phone (most of the time it is around my neck), pens, paper, I think you get the picture. I grocery shop for only what I know will fit into the shelves and learned I did not need to stock up on sale items. Since everything has a place it is a quick job to get the house picked up before I go out so I always (or almost always) walk into a peaceful and beautiful room that welcomes me.

All this only and because of the talent and skill Selene has for this kind of work. It took many hours of being together to come up with the best solutions based on my living style and I could report back the next week whether or not what we accomplished the week before worked for me. Sometimes yes, sometimes no and Selene would help me find solutions that did work for me.

Selene was very firm sometimes and at others very compassionate about the feelings that go along with ridding oneself of things that probably someone else would throw away some day. As a result of the work she did for me three of my friends are her clients now and are in the process of de-cluttering. I have learned to appreciate all that I have tenfold over.

Before & After - 2009

2009 was a banner year for BellaGia Services! I got my start up in Palm Beach County - thanks to my dear friend Barb - and hit the ground running. What an amazing opportunity to work with some very special ladies from all different walks of life - an entrepreneur, a photographer and two mom's-to-be - from Deerfield Beach to Hobe Sound. It was an exciting beginning and here are some of the before and after pictures...I hope you enjoy them as much as we did creating them!

New Year = New Challenges!

Happy 2010! I know lots of people who were very glad to see 2009 slip into the past. I don't know about that, but I do know I am excited to see what is in store for us in 2010.

I have an exciting challenge ahead of me. Several, actually. For one, I'll be doing my first "official" speaking engagement as a personal organizer. I've been invited to be a speaker at Christ Fellowships' MOPS program in March. I love these ladies and I want to send them home with some excellent ideas and tips they can implement right away. Having two little ones of my own, I know what a challenge it can be to stay on top of things! I'm beginning to put together my outline and pull ideas from some successful speakers to make it a memorable day for all of us.

My second challenge isn't so much about organizing but it is about making an impact on the community around me. I'm beginning a book study on Dani Johnson's "Grooming the Next Generation for Success". This is quite a unique subject, veering off the course of what is typically written for those who work with or are raising children. Going well past the "how can I get my kids to do what I tell them" subject into how to groom them for financial, emotional, business & spiritual success for their futures. This book is about creating a legacy, not just getting through parenting or working with children. It's been quite impactful in our lives and I am looking forward to participating with others who are truly making the investment into the next generation. Heaven knows, they need it - wouldn't you agree?

The Life Group (book study) begins in February (tba) on Wednesday evenings at 5:00pm EST to 7:15pm. Please share this information with anyone you know who wants to make a difference for the kids and youth in their influence and let them know they can contact me directly for details!

Recently I was blessed by a longtime client when she referred a friend. Ms. S is in the midst of a cluttered home - the conglomeration of her & her late mother's things have all collided in the condo she inherited when her mom passed. She is overwhelmed but I am proud to say she has chosen to take the first step - the most important one! - and contact me for help. I know alot of people who say they need it, but they don't take that step for whatever reason and it breaks my heart to know they are unhappy in a space that is not right for them. I'm looking forward to sharing the photos of our work and successes together.

Lastly, I am looking for a few sincerely needy folks who I can bless with a day of organizing, pro bono. Twelve days of this year I will be reaping what has been sown into me by blessing someone in my community who could not otherwise afford organizing services. If you know of someone, please contact me for an application.

I am excited about this new year and sharing my adventures & experiences with you!

Blessings,

Selene
